Thirty-five weeks into the 2nd season of the Individual Online Oware League, the number of participants stayed the same atย 88 players from 30 known countries. The numbers that participated in this weekโs tournament increased by 4 to 26 players.
This week mrjohnson ๐ณ๐ฌ retained the tournament title with a perfect 7.0 score.abilohre ๐ฌ๐ญ placed 2nd with 5.0 points, losing games with mrjohnson ๐ณ๐ฌ & kongadji ๐ง๐ฏ in their matches. In 3rd place is olowolafeabey ๐ณ๐ฌ, also with 5.0 points. losing games with mrjohnson ๐ณ๐ฌ & abilohre ๐ฌ๐ญ to complete the top three positions. kongadji ๐ง๐ฏ & josty ๐ฌ๐ญ placed 4th & 5th respectively. Congratulations to mrjohnson ๐ณ๐ฌ for retaining his title & everyone else who participated ๐๐๐.
With this result the Oga Ota of Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ mrjohnson with 185.0 still leads by an increased 25.0 points ahead of the nearest contender abilohre with 160.0 points. With 17 tournaments to go in this 2nd season of the Individual league. It seems increasingly unlikely a contender will be able to overtake mrjohnson ๐ณ๐ฌ and win the league
Do well to recruit other players to participate in these tournaments, from your countries in order to enhance your individual & nations scores. This will enable us to surpass last seasonโs tally of 112 players. We have surpassed the half way for the number of players, and the half point for the number of tournaments has been surpassed. With 17 tournaments to go, we are 25 players away from breaking the 1st seasons 112 players.
Please take note, the first three positioned players who are International or Full members of The Oware Society before the league ends, will be awarded cash prizes. Therefore If you place in the top 3, and wish to be considered for a cash award, join The Oware Society before the league ends. If donors & sponsorship can be acquired, and we are able to raise enough funds from member subscriptions we will put in place a prize fund for other categories: top placed, female, junior & continental players who have International, Full or Family membership.
