Thirty-nine weeks into the 2nd season of the Individual Online Oware League, the number of participants increased by 2 toย 97 players from 31 known countries. We welcome msh76 from Kazakhstan ๐ฐ๐ฟ &ย abmcalico from Colombia ๐จ๐ด asย participants.
This week mrjohnson ๐ณ๐ฌ once again retained the tournament title with a perfect 7.0 points. kongadji ๐ง๐ฏ placed 2nd with 5.5 points, losing a game to mrjohnson ๐ณ๐ฌ & drawing with issahfuseinji ๐ฌ๐ญ. In 3rd place is issahfuseinji ๐ฌ๐ญ, with 5.0 points. losing a game to mrjohnson ๐ณ๐ฌ & drawing with roberisco ๐ฌ๐ญ & kongadji ๐ง๐ฏ, completing the top three positions abilohre ๐ฌ๐ญ & serikaktayev ๐ฐ๐ฟ placed 4th & 5th respectively. Congratulations to mrjohnson ๐ณ๐ฌ for retaining the title & everyone else who participated ๐๐๐.
With this result the Oga Ota of Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ mrjohnson with 212.5 still leads by an increased 41.5 points ahead of the nearest contender abilohre with 171.0 points. With 13 tournaments to go in this 2nd season of the Individual league. It seems increasingly unlikely a contender will be able to challenge mrjohnson ๐ณ๐ฌ for the league title.
Do well to recruit other players to participate in these tournaments, from your countries in order to enhance your individual & nations scores. This will enable us to surpass last seasonโs tally of 112 players. We have surpassed the half way point for the number of players. The half way point for the number of tournaments has been surpassed. With 13 tournaments to go, we are 16 players away from breaking the 1st seasons 112 players.
Please take note, the first three positioned players who are International or Full members of The Oware Society before the league ends, will be awarded cash prizes. Therefore If you place in the top 3, and wish to be considered for a cash award, join The Oware Society before the league ends. If donors & sponsorship can be acquired, and we are able to raise enough funds from member subscriptions we will put in place a prize fund for other categories: top placed, female, junior & continental players who have International, Full or Family membership.
